AASAC

Founded in 1970, the Arkansas Sociological and Anthropological Association is one of the longest-running state sociological and anthropological organizations in the United States.  ASAA is composed of professional scholars and practitioners, graduate and undergraduate students in sociology and anthropology from universities, colleges, and professional institutions across the state.

The purpose of ASAA is to promote and foster the highest level of education and scholarship in areas related to sociology and anthropology among interested academic, professional, and student communities in the state. To this end, the ASAA membership coordinates two events each year – the Annual Meeting and the Undergraduate Symposium. To learn more about ASAA and its activities, examine the information on our website, and please feel free to contact any of the ASAA officers if you have any questions about ASAA.
